2008 November 27 HOW DOES GOD SEE YOU?

 In our seminars we had year ten followed by year eleven students
Our format is below
* Students arrive with fun film clips on screen
* Welcome and our theme explained
* A fun intro game
* Dove Make Over film clip and a film clip[ showing the changes to Michael Jackson phyical features over his life
Small Group discussion
  • Why can body image be so important?  How is body image portrayed in the media
  • Where should our true worth come from?
    • * A Testimony Clip from the lead singer of KORN (A Rock Band) who has become a Christian
    Small Group discussion
     Who would you die for? Why? Who in the school would you die for?
    Romans 5:6-10 (New International Reader's Version) At just the right time Christ died for ungodly people. He died for us when we had no power of our own. 7 It is unusual for anyone to die for a godly person. Maybe someone would be willing to die for a good person. 8But here is how God has shown his love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
     9 The blood of Christ has made us right with God. So we are even more sure that Jesus will save us from God's anger. 10 Once we were God's enemies. But we have been brought back to him because his Son has died for us. Now that God has brought us back, we are even more secure. We know that we will be saved because Christ lives.
    READ: A Christian is someone who has recognised that they are not perfect – (The Bible calls this sin) and have asked Jesus to become the Lord and the one in control of their life – In response God will forgive them and treat them as a new creation, offering eternal life , full with His Holy Spirit and will guide and lead them.
